New sneaker collabs go culinary

SAUCONY X DUNKIN DONUTS
People can literally "run on Dunkin" thanks to Saucony’s limited-edition collaboration celebrating the 2018 Boston marathon and the symbiotic relationship between running, coffee, and donuts. The Saucony X Dunkin’ Kinvara 9, which sold out quicker than a Boston kreme, features a white-based upper emblematic of the classic Dunkin’ Donuts box and also comes in a unique custom package that recreates the look of the box. A strawberry-frosted donut on the shoe’s heel is surrounded by a flurry of orange, magenta and chocolate-colored sprinkles, representing the playful color palette of the Dunkin’ Donuts brand.
NIKE X GATORADE
As tribute to the beverages that have fueled generations of athletes, the Nike Air Jordan took on Lemon Lime, Grape, Cool Blue and Orange “flavorways.” Each color uses a premium leather upper with “Be Like Mike” inscribed on the inner tongue, a nod to the iconic 90s campaign, and the Gatorade logo featured throughout. The Air Jordan logo mimics the finish of a Gatorade bottle cap, while a debossed bolt is featured on the shoe’s lateral heel. A dual branded Jumpman and Gatorade hand towel and matching hangtag is also included in the Like Mike branded shoebox.
KOIO COLLECTIVE X THE FLOWER SHOP
One collaboration available exclusively via brick-and-mortar is the Koio x The Flower Shop low top, sold at NYC restaurant The Flower Shop. The all-black Italian leather shoe features subtle gold embroidery details designed for a night out. Koio Collective, which offers Chanel-quality kicks at shoestring prices, is the latest in a line of new companies looking to disrupt the sneaker market. The sneaker celebrates both companies’ mission to offer people a high-end experience in a relaxed, accessible way.
