PRETTY IN PINK

Check out these fun V-day initiatives

Valentine’s Day is this Sunday, February 14th, and brands are ushering in the romantic holiday with a plethora of all things pink! Food and fashion brands alike are tapping into this sweet color to give their offerings a V-day makeover, and while Kraft’s pink mac & cheese is more interesting than appetizing, we’re pretty tickled at how fun these initiatives are.

PINK MAC & CHEESE VIA KRAFT

Valentine’s Day is always cheesy, but this year it’s extra cheesy, thanks to Kraft. To celebrate all things romantic, the brand concocted a limited-edition Candy Kraft Mac & Cheese—and it’s pretty epically pink. The pink mac & cheese gets its shocking hue from a special candy flavor packet, which adds a hint of sweetness to the typically savory comfort food. The Kraft Heinz Company is giving away 1,000 boxes with this special flavor packet ahead of the holiday; to snag this super limited-edition mac & cheese, participants had to enter Kraft’s giveaway at CandyKraftMacandCheese.com (the contest is now closed). Winners will receive their pink mac & cheese by Valentine’s Day, giving them something to celebrate—regardless of their relationship status.

PINK SNEAKERS VIA NIKE

Nike has given its widely-beloved Air Force 1 sneaker an upgrade that even Cupid would want to rock. The Air Force 1 “Valentine’s Day” features panels of white leather and baby pink suede, along with a vivid red leather Swoosh. Other details include heart-shaped toe box perforations and little hearts above the “i” in the Nike Air graphic on the back. Those who purchase the love-themed kicks can also revel in a special message under the tongue tags: the left shoe reads: “True Love Since ‘82,” when the AF1 was first released, and the right shoe reads “AF1 4Ever.” Sneaker junkies were able to start snagging pairs, which were priced at $130, when they launched back in February.

PINK DRINKS VIA DUNKIN’

Dunkin’ devotees can expect a little pink in their drink: the chain is bringing back the Pink Velvet Macchiato for the second time (and until February 23rd) as part of its 2021 Valentine’s Day menu. This sweet macchiato combines rich espresso with the flavors of red velvet cake and cream cheese frosting. Coffee enthusiasts can order the limited-edition beverage hot or iced, but the iced version visibly demonstrates a brown and pink ombré effect and practically begs to be shown off on the ‘gram. Dunkin’ is also bringing back the Mocha Macchiato and adding two heart-shaped donuts—the Cupid’s Choice Donut and the Brownie Batter donut—to this special Valentine’s Day menu.
