TikTok Ban Sparks Uncertainty Among Social Media Influencers
The prospects of the so-called “Tik Tok Ban” in the US Senate remain unclear, two weeks after the House passed the bill by a vote of 352-65. Arguing that ByteDance (the company that wholly owns TikTok) poses a national security threat, lawmakers are concerned about privacy as well as propaganda in the app. On the other hand, many are also concerned about the impact a potential ban could have on entrepreneurs, business owners and content creators.
Cassandra recently spoke to several Gen Z TikTok creators to gauge their feelings about the current situation and potential ban.
