REVAMPING MANISHEWITZ WITH A FRESH SPIN
The iconic kosher food brand, Manischewitz has transformed its aesthetic just in time for Passover. In an effort to target younger consumers, the brand debuted a bright and modern look for products such as matzo meal, matzo ball mix, egg noodles and more! The brand is also launching merchandise beyond food products that will feature “Yiddishisms”, a Yiddish word or expression. “In an effort to update the cultural relevancy with a younger Jewish audience as well as mainstream culturally curious audience, we have refreshed our brand with an exciting new look and feel on our current and new product offerings,” said Shani Seidman, CMO of Kayco, the parent company for Manischewitz.
AMERICANS CHOOSING ISRAELI WINES
Many Jewish Americans are turning to Israeli wines to serve this Passover. Royal Wine, a New Jersey-based distributor and the largest importer of Israeli wine in the U.S., reported selling nearly 30% more Israeli bottles to wine retailers, restaurants, and other distributors compared to five years ago. Retailers have seen unprecedented demand, with some reporting up to 200% higher sales of Israeli wine compared to last year. Israel has a variety of wines to offer including this rosé from Flam Winery or try a brut from Israel’s Golan Heights wine region.
