Eid Al Fitr

eid mubarak! celebrating the end of ramadan

With Ramadan coming to a close, it is time to celebrate Eid al-Fitr! This joyous holiday marks the end of the fasting month and is a time for المسلمين (muslimūn - Muslims) to travel together, feast, and get dressed up and celebrate.

CAPSULE COLLECTIONS BRANCH OUT

Eid al-Fitr is a grand celebration and revered especially among Middle East luxury fashion. Ramadan capsule collections and collaborations among luxe brands like Versace, Dior, Prada, Valentino, and more have consistently tailored their marketing and products specifically for Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. This year, marketing activity among luxury brands is branching out beyond traditional Dubai, prompting brands to deploy both new and old marketing strategies across Gulf cities such as Riyadh, Abu Dhabi and Kuwait City. These regions require a bit of a localized approach to marketing campaigns which has some fashion brands venturing out with alternative formats and venues. However, many brands, conscious of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, have opted for a ‘quieter’ tone to avoid overly ostentatious or frivolous marketing efforts.

UPGRADED IN FLIGHT MENUS AND EXPANDED ROUTES

After a month of fasting, it's no surprise that people want to visit family and friends. Emirates Airlines is ramping up flights for the holiday and even offering special menus and entertainment on board. Emirates is adding flights to Jeddah, Kuwait, Beirut, and Amman and boosting their in flight menu to include classic dishes like chicken biryani, lamb kibbeh labneh and vanilla and rose mousse cake.

SEASON YOUR EID FEAST WITH PURPOSE

Eid al-Fitr is all about celebrating with loved ones, and what better way to do that than with a delicious meal? This year, Food Network is featuring Our Place's (kitchenware brand) special Crescent Always Pan, designed to be a versatile tool for cooking Eid celebratory meals. For every purchase, 20% of net profits will go to The Middle East Children's Alliance who provide critical humanitarian aid in Gaza and beyond.
