TECHNO DRINKS
AI Developed Beverages
As businesses increasingly embrace AI integration across their operations, this formerly futuristic technology can now be a valuable asset in product development. AI not only expedites the product creation process and strategic planning but also heightens the likelihood of aligning offerings with the ever-changing preferences of today's discerning young consumers. Beverage brands are swiftly recognizing these advantages, and ahead, we delve into three brands at the forefront of experimentation.
COCA-COLA - Y3000
In September, Coca-Cola launched Coca-Cola Y3000 Zero Sugar, the first coke flavor co-created with human and artificial intelligence. Coca-Cola said it created the Y3000 experience by tapping into human and artificial intelligence to understand how people envision the future through emotions, aspirations, colors and flavors, among other factors. It then used consumer perspectives from around the world, and combined them with insights gathered from artificial intelligence, to create Y3000. The design, also co-created with AI, showcases liquid in a morphing, evolving state, communicated through form and color changes that emphasize a positive future.
HELL ENERGY - HELL A.I.
Unveiled in August, the world's inaugural AI-designed energy drink has been created in collaboration with Hungarian beverage company Hell Energy Drink and is set to launch in over 60 countries. In the development of this innovative beverage, named HELL A.I., artificial intelligence analyzed consumer preferences for energy drinks and subsequently selected the ingredients and formulation. AI determined that the drink should be enriched with vitamins, amino acids, and herbs to deliver an exceptional and pleasant beverage experience.
SAPPORO BREWERIES: OTOKO UME SOUR SALTY PLUM
In collaboration with IBM Japan, Sapporo Breweries has introduced 'Otoko Ume Sour Salty Plum,' a sparkling cocktail featuring umeboshi, a renowned sweet and sour Japanese pickled plum known for its medicinal and anti-allergenic properties. This innovative beverage was brought to life through the use of N-Wing Star, an exclusive AI system that analyzed over 1,200 formulations and data from more than 700 raw materials to create distinctive ingredient combinations. Notably, N-Wing Star significantly reduced total product development time by approximately 50%, prompting Sapporo to consider AI as a "key component" in their upcoming canned beverage launches.
